日照因“日出初光先照”而得名，位于山東省東南部，海岸線168.5公里，陸域面積5375平方公里，海域面積6000平方公里?，F(xiàn)轄東港區(qū)、嵐山區(qū)、莒縣、五蓮縣，日照經(jīng)濟技術(shù)開發(fā)區(qū)、日照高新技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)開發(fā)區(qū)和山海天旅游度假區(qū)，總?cè)丝?09萬。
The name of Rizhao originated from an old saying "The first light shines at sunrise", located in the southeast of Shandong Province, covering the land area of 5375 square kilometers and the sea area of 6000 square kilometers, with the coast line of 168.5 kilometers. It now has jurisdiction over Donggang District, Lanshan District, Ju County, Wulian County, Rizhao Economic and technological Development Zone, Rizhao Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and Shanhai Tian Tourism Resort, with a total population of 3.09 million.
日照氣候宜人、生態(tài)優(yōu)良，年平均氣溫13.0°\mathsf C 、降水量756毫米、日照時數(shù)2349.8小時、無霜期206天。冬無嚴寒、夏無酷暑、空氣清新、光照充足，是“南方的北方、北方的南方”?！八{天、碧海、金沙灘”獨樹一幟，有四千年樹齡的“天下銀杏第一樹”，“奇秀不減雁蕩”的五蓮山久負盛名，一望無垠的海岸綠茶、萬畝水杉、千畝竹林北方罕見，60多公里的陽光海岸綠道、山海風(fēng)情綠道，將公園、濕地、山岳、沙灘串珠成鏈，美不勝收。近年來，相繼摘得聯(lián)合國人居獎、中國優(yōu)秀旅游城市、全國文明城市、國家森林公園等桂冠。
Rizhao enjoys the pleasant sunshine climate and the good ecology, with the annual average temperature 13.0°C the 756~mm precipitation, 2349.8 sunshine hours, and 206 days of frost-free period. In Rizhao, there is winter without cold, summer without heat, enjoying fresh air and sufficient light. It's the "North of the South, South of the North ", known as the best place for human habitation. The blue sky, the blue sea and the golden beach are unique in Rizhao. There is the oldest ginkgo tree in the world with more than 40o0 years old, and Wulian Mountain, as magnificent and beautiful as that of Yandang Mountain. The boundless coast green tea, ten thousand mu Metasequoia, thousand mu bamboo forest are all rare in the north, and more than 60 kilometers of sunshine coast greenway, and Shanhai style greenway connect the park, wetland, mountains, beaching into a chain, too beautiful to be fully appreciated. In recent years, it has successively won the United Nation's Habitat Award, China's Excellent Tourism City, National Civilized City, National Forest Park and other laurels.
日照是龍山文化重要發(fā)祥地和世界五大太陽文化起源地之一，境內(nèi)有丹土遺址、堯王城遺址等龍山文化遺址100多處。莒文化與齊文化、魯文化并稱山東三大文化，“毋忘在莒”的故事源遠流長。日照是中國黑陶文化之鄉(xiāng)，出土的蛋殼黑陶被譽為“四千年前地球文明最精致的制作”。西周著名軍事家、政治家姜尚，南北朝杰出的文學(xué)評論家劉，當(dāng)代物理學(xué)家、諾貝爾獎獲得者丁肇中，中共一大代表王盡美等原籍都是日照。
Rizhao is an important birthplace of Longshan culture and one of the five major origins of sun culture in the world. There are more than 100 Longshan cultural sites such as Dantu site, Yao Wang City site and so on. Ju culture, Qi culture, Lu culture are also known as the three major cultures of Shandong, of which the story of " do not forget in \mathbf{\mathit{J}u}^{\prime\prime} has a long history handed down to this day. Rizhao is the hometown of Chinese black pottery culture, and the eggshell black pottery unearthed is known as "the most exquisite production of earth civilization four thousand years ago". The warehousing and logistics are developed with 7 bonded warehouses of ore, crude oil and other bulk commodities. 日照連續(xù)15年入選中國外貿(mào)百強城市，居全國第59位，外貿(mào)依存度達 57% ，居全省第2位。獲評國家級跨境電子商務(wù)綜合試驗區(qū)、國家外貿(mào)轉(zhuǎn)型升級基地等，與189個國家和地區(qū)建立經(jīng)貿(mào)往來，外貿(mào)企業(yè)突破1435家。日照港建設(shè)有礦石、木片、原油等泊位92個，最大可靠泊30萬噸級船舶，是全國第三大原油中轉(zhuǎn)基地、國家煤炭戰(zhàn)略儲備基地，鐵礦石、大豆等7個貨種吞吐量居全國首位。以日照鋼鐵、山東鋼鐵等企業(yè)為主導(dǎo)的鋼鐵產(chǎn)業(yè)集群年出口額近200億元。以現(xiàn)代汽車等為龍頭的128家汽車產(chǎn)業(yè)企業(yè)年進出口額近100億元。水海產(chǎn)品企業(yè)85家，其中美佳集團連續(xù)八年蟬聯(lián)全國水產(chǎn)品出口第一名。構(gòu)建了高效、暢通、安全的油品“大動脈”，全國每十噸進口原油就有一噸從日照上岸。
Rizhao has been selected as one of China's top 100 foreign trade cities for 15 consecutive years, ranking 59th in the country, and its foreign trade dependence reaches 57% , ranking second in the province. With Rizhao Iron and Steel, Shandong Iron and Steel and other enterprises as the leading, the annual exports of the steel industry cluster is nearly 20 billion yuan. The annual import and export volume of 128 leading antomobile industry enterprises, taking Hyundai Motor as the leading company, is nearly 10 billion yuan. There are 85 aquatic and seafood enterprises, among which Meijia Group has ranked first in national aquatic products export for eight consecutive years. Forming an efficient, smooth and safe oil “artery", every ten tons of imported crude oil in the country has one ton landed from Rizhao.

多年來，日照市深入實施外資企業(yè)全生命周期服務(wù)機制、投訴跨部門協(xié)調(diào)機制，打造公平、高效、周到的外商投資環(huán)境。目前，共有近300家在營外資企業(yè)，投資總額近300億美元，前三大外資來源地為香港、新加坡、韓國，累計實際使用外資分別為24.7億美元、20.6億美元、13.5億美元?，F(xiàn)有現(xiàn)代汽車集團、泰森集團、采埃孚等18家“世界500強”企業(yè)在日照投資設(shè)立了31家外資企業(yè)?，F(xiàn)代汽車、采埃孚等外資企業(yè)構(gòu)成了我市汽車產(chǎn)業(yè)的“半壁江山”，新加坡金鷹集團自2005年以來連續(xù)增資27次，累計投資近300億元，成為我國最大的商品木漿生產(chǎn)企業(yè)，是山東省單一投資規(guī)模最大的外資項目，產(chǎn)量占全國的近四分之一。

Singapore Golden Eagle Group since 2005 has continuously added the investment 27 times, with the cumulative investment of nearly 30 billion yuan, become China's largest commercial wood pulp production enterprises, and is the largest single investment in foreign projects in Shandong Province, of which the output accounts for nearly a quarter of the country.

日照是國家和山東省重點布局的沿海先進鋼鐵制造基地，先后入選省級先進制造業(yè)集群、支柱型雁陣集群和特色產(chǎn)業(yè)集群，年產(chǎn)值突破1900億元。擁有山東鋼鐵日照公司、日照鋼鐵兩大省級“鏈主”企業(yè)，煉鋼產(chǎn)能2745萬噸，產(chǎn)能集中度居全國第4；集裝箱板材以及高強鋼、油罐鋼等產(chǎn)品市場占有率居全國第1；建成ESP生產(chǎn)線5條，成功軋制薄0.6毫米的全球最薄熱軋卷；全國5000立方米以上高爐9座，其中2座在日照。

The steel production capacity is 27.45 million tons, ranking 4th nationwide in terms of concentration, and the market share of container plate and high-strength steel, oil tank steel, etc. is ranked first in the country. 5 ESP production lines have been built, successfully rolling the world's thinnest hot-rolled coil at 0.6mm .There are 9 blast furnaces over 5000 cubic meters in China, two of which are in Rizhao.
日照是山東省規(guī)劃布局的3個新能源乘用車產(chǎn)業(yè)集群之一，是韓國現(xiàn)代汽車全球核心零部件生產(chǎn)基地，列入省十強產(chǎn)業(yè)“雁陣型”產(chǎn)業(yè)集群。全市現(xiàn)有汽車整車及零部件企業(yè)360余家，其中規(guī)模以上生產(chǎn)企業(yè)122家。有長城魏牌、五征集團、中興汽車等整車企業(yè)和威亞發(fā)動機、現(xiàn)代坦迪斯、德國采埃孚、金馬集團等零部件企業(yè)。具備年產(chǎn)汽車99萬輛、發(fā)動機30萬臺、自動變速箱140萬臺、汽車車橋1500萬套，汽車模具近10000套、活塞2000萬只生產(chǎn)能力。

With a planning area of 97,000\mu (about 6466 hectares), it is an important production area for genuine medicinal materials such as Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Danshen) and Scutellariae Radix(Huangqin). V高端化工產(chǎn)業(yè)HIGH-END CHEMICALINDUSTRY
日照擁有嵐山化工產(chǎn)業(yè)園、海右化工產(chǎn)業(yè)園、生物化工產(chǎn)業(yè)園3家省級化工園區(qū)，總規(guī)劃面積21.9平方公里，烴醛類精細化工入選山東省“十強”產(chǎn)業(yè)雁陣形集群。日照港建成液體化工泊位19個，能夠接卸原油、成品油等60余種液體化工品，其中30萬噸級原油泊位4個，原油年總體通過能力達1億噸以上。全市現(xiàn)有化工企業(yè)近200家，擁有每年500萬噸進口原油使用資質(zhì)、原油非國營貿(mào)易進口資質(zhì)，原油年加工能力達930萬噸。
Rizhao has three provincial-level chemical parks, namely Lanshan Chemical industry Park, Haiyou Chemical Industry Park and Biological Chemical Industry Park, with a total planning area of 21.9 square kilometers. Hydrocarbon aldehyde fine chemicals have been selected as the top ten "V-shaped" industrial clusters in Shandong province. Rizhao Port has built 19 liquid chemical berths, which can receive and unload more than 60 kinds of liquid chemicals such as crude oil and refined oil. Rizhao is one of the cities with the most complete coastal energy infrastructure in China, boasting comparative transportation advantages such as 100000-ton heavy-lift berths, a 14-meter-wide access channel, a 21-meter-wide coastal highway, and heavy-haul railway.
